We caught up with Waxim “Wax” Ulysses Mekanix on November 4th, 2022. Wax is one of the most diverse musicians that I have heard and have spoken to. He’s a musician, a songwriter, a producer, a painter, a photographer, and founding member of underground act Nitro. Wax recently reissued a deluxe edition of his album ‘Mobocracy.’ Wax caught us up to speed on ‘Mobocracy,’ and what he has in store for us down the road. It was a blast talking with him. I’d wanted to talk to him for a while, but he’s so eclectic that he didn’t fit into the mold of the sites I write for which were either predominantly metal, or hard rock, or 80s glam or sleaze based.
