On the making of the new album, PASCAL LANQUETIN (musical composition and lead guitarist) states, “I always try to do better than before, I want to push the melodic side to the extreme without forgetting the energy of metal! Digitally released March 3, 2023 and slated for physical and international release on April 14, 2023; Afterworld is the sixth full length album from CARCARIASS and was recorded and mixed by “Drop” (Guitarist of SAMAEL) at Downtone Studio in Switzerland. The album was mastered by Jens Bogren (ARCH ENEMY, AMON AMARTH, SEPULTURA,…) at Fascination Street Studio in Sweden and produced by GSI Records. Physical distribution is headed by Season Of Mist Distribution while digital distribution is available via Tunecore.

Hailing from Besançon, France CARCARIASS has existed for more than 25 years. The name CARCARIASS comes from Carcharodon Carcharias, the latin name of the Great White Shark. The current band line-up consists of Pascal Lanquetin (All guitars and Music Composition), Jérôme Thomas (Vocals), Raphaël Couturier (Bass), Bertrand Simonin (Drums) and Bob (Rhythm guitar only for gigs). A longtime staple among the European live music circuit, CARCARIASS has appeared on multiple festival stages such as HELLFEST and most recently at Daily Rock Festival in February where they shared the stage with SAMAEL in Geneva.
