Let It Rot Video Premiere with Metal Injection

Let It Rot

LANSING, MI – Let It Rot returns with “Undying,” a crushing new single and music video that channels seven years of grit, perseverance, and a refusal to stay down. The relentless Michigan-based quintet blurs the lines between deathcore and anthemic hard rock with fierce dedication.

“Undying” acts as a rallying cry for anyone struggling to pull themselves back from the edge. It’s an empowering song for those who have felt dismissed, disrespected, or defeated at every turn.

“This song is about getting knocked down, overlooked, and underestimated,” explains frontman Brandon Hartman. “But despite all of that, you’re still standing. You’re not going anywhere.”

The line ‘Seven years strong and we still struggle through – I can’t believe I’m still here’ gets to the heart of Let It Rot’s message: brutal honesty, hard-earned resilience, and survival.

Formed in 2017 as a passion project by Hartman, Let It Rot evolved into a powerhouse presence in the Midwest metal and metalcore scene. Their refusal to conform—stylistically or otherwise—quickly earned them a reputation for explosive live performances and genre-defying songwriting.

The band landed a spot on the Michigan leg of The Summer Slaughter Tour early in their career and has since played at Havoc Fest (2024) andMichigan Metal Fest (2023), and shared stages with a diverse group of bands including Born of Osiris, Kittie, Atilla, and Of Virtue.

The band’s 2019 EP, The End of Humanity, landed them on several Spotify editorial playlists in short order, with the blistering “Order of the Black Worm” amassing a quarter of a million streams.

Let It Rot proves they have what it takes to hang with the best,” Metal Injection declared in 2020. Roughly two years later, the band’s self-titled debut full-length mightily delivered on that promise.

Now, with four killer singles in 2025— “CHOKE,” “Scarlet,” “Stretched Thin,” and now “Undying”—Let It Rot pushes forward with renewed purpose and sonic ambition. These songs are both the band’s heaviest and catchiest, delivering their most unapologetic material yet.

Let It Rot has never been about fitting into a mold,” Hartman adds. “We just write what comes out. It’s about growth. It’s about writing music that feels honest, that cuts through the noise.”

With “Undying,” Let It Rot solidifies their reputation. For the overlooked and underestimated, this band is the soundtrack. Let It Rot isn’t going anywhere, either. They’re just getting started.
